Ex-Muslims of North America seeks an Operations Manager to oversee a variety of administrative and project functions.




  • Oversees financial operations by collaborating with bookkeeper and accountant.
  • Manage implementation of, and compliance with, operations policies and procedures to ensure office efficiency, reliability, and compliance with best practices. Including but not limited to: technology planning, contract management and approval processes, document storage and destruction.
  • Formalize new operations policies and procedures where needed to maintain office efficiency, and ensure that equipment/service needs are met.
  • Supervise and maintain relations with vendors and freelancers.


  • Manage employee timesheets, vacation and sick leave records, and personnel records;
  • Maintain staff on-boarding, orientation, administration and off-boarding materials;
  • Manages staff scheduling and workload when necessary.


  • Manage a detailed project schedule and work plan;
  • Oversee and track project expenditures;
  • Oversee regular activity of the team;
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Liberal Arts or a related field AND three (3) years of relevant professional experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


  • Formal project management experience in fast-paced or start-up environment;
  • Familiarity with HR / Personnel administration.

Online resources are vital tool – and we want to use update, re-formulate, and draft new articles for a wiki on Islam from a skeptical perspective. We seek an individual to assist us in creating a powerful new resource for freethinkers from the Muslim world.


  • Research and write new articles that will be seen by millions
  • Lead teams of editors and volunteers to improve article quality
  • Oversee translation of articles
  • Create methods to streamline project expansion and development


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Working knowledge of Islamic scriptures and history


  • Fluency in written Arabic or Urdu is highly desired
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in Islamic studies or similar discipline
  • Work experience with MediaWiki

Below are the freelance positions currently open. 


We are looking for an experienced motion graphics designer and/or animator to work with us to create short animated videos. We are looking for someone experienced in simple but elegant graphics, preferably someone who can also create basic illustrations (but this is not required).

We are looking for an experienced sound editor to work to produce sound and music for multiple short videos. The Sound Editor will be responsible for creating and/or sourcing music and any other required sound effects, mixing audio tracks, and editing as necessary.
