Ex-Muslims of North America (EXMNA) members Sarah Haider and Abdul Yafai were interviewed by the New York Times for a piece about the impact of 9/11 on Muslim-American communities. EXMNA Executive Director Haider, along with Yafai, shed light on how 9/11 affected their relationship with Islam and their journey out of the faith, as well as how its legacy continues to color their relationships and professional activism.
