A support group for ex-Muslims says it has surpassed 100 members in Toronto and continues to grow.
Ex-Muslims of North America was formed about two years ago, when former Muslims from Canada and the U.S. who had found each other on Reddit decided to create a communities offline. It’s been particularly popular in the large multicultural city of Toronto, said spokesman Nas Ishmael.
“The way we look at it is if even one per cent of the people leaving Islam need a support group, that is a lot of people, and that’s who we cater to,” he said.
