SUCCESS: H.Res 512 Passed, Condemning Blasphemy Laws Worldwide
News
December 7, 2020
Ex-Muslims of North America (EXMNA) proudly and firmly supports the passage of H.Res 512, a condemnation and call for repeal of all global apostasy and blasphemy laws. This effectively represents an official stance of the U.S. government that all such laws should be abolished, a position for which EXMNA has long advocated. EXMNA has worked directly with members of Congress for several months to advocate for the passage of this particular resolution. In particular, EXMNA worked extensively with Congressman Jamie Raskin to ensure the resolution’s success, as well as to advocate for the inclusion of additional language in the resolution condemning online hate speech through social media platforms.
